Oman's Debut at COP27

Challenge

COP27 marked Oman’s first appearance as an exhibitor on the global climate stage. This debut represented a pivotal opportunity to establish Oman as a serious and influential participant in the international climate dialogue. Aligned with the ambitions of Oman Vision 2040, the challenge was to translate long term sustainability, energy transition, and economic diversification priorities into a credible and differentiated presence. Oman needed a clear point of view expressed through a distinct identity and a pavilion experience that could build trust, signal commitment, and resonate with policymakers, investors, and global media. Achieving meaningful visibility was essential to position Oman as a major player rather than a passive participant.

Solution

We developed a unified narrative that reflected Oman’s sustainability journey and the strategic direction set under Vision 2040. This narrative was brought to life through a purposefully designed pavilion that served as a tangible expression of Oman’s climate agenda, progress, and future investment potential. The experience was designed to encourage informed dialogue, enabling visitors to understand Oman’s role in the energy transition and its approach to balancing growth with sustainability. A coordinated global PR and social media program extended the narrative beyond the venue, ensuring consistent and targeted engagement with priority stakeholders and leading international media.

Impact

Oman delivered a strong and credible debut at COP27, achieving visibility across regions and channels. The campaign reached more than seven hundred million people and secured coverage in leading global outlets including CNBC and CNN. More importantly, it positioned Oman as a confident and constructive voice in the global sustainability conversation, strengthening trust and reinforcing the nation’s role as a major player actively contributing to discussions on climate, energy transition, and long term resilience.
